  • TEREN bottoms fit true to size, order the same size waist you typically wear.
  • If you are between sizes or would like extra room, simply size up.
  • Our “Tailored” Fit is somewhere in between a regular fit and a slim fit.
  • Industry-wide pants sizes do not directly match your waist measurements. This is why for some companies you may wear different sizes.
  • TEREN bottoms fit true to size, order the same size waist you typically wear.
  • If you are between sizes or would like extra room, simply size up.

    How to Measure Yourself

    Using a soft tape measure will give you the most accurate measurements. 
    Pro Tip: You’ll get more accurate measurements if you have someone helping you.

    Waist: Measure your waist (labeled above) at the narrowest point. This is typically right above your hip bones & below your belly button.

    Inseam: While standing, measure the inside of your leg – from your crotch to just below your ankle bone (or where you’d want the hem to fall).

    Chest: Measure your chest at the widest point. This is typically right across your nipples.

    Sleeve: Measure from the center of the back of your neck, across your shoulder and down the outside of your arm, to just below your wrist.

    Shorts that take on anything

    These shorts fit great and look great no matter where you need to go. I took 3 pairs of shorts and one pair of pants on a recent cruise. It was nice to pack really light and small and when iI unpacked the shorts had no wrinkles, what few the pants had were gone after hanging them up for a bit. The shorts were really put through the test for me. First on the flights over, it was really nice to have all my documents secured behind zipper pockets up front and easy to grab to get through security. Also the drawstring was perfect so I didn't have to keep taking a belt on and off through each screening. One excursion to Bimini had us standing outside waiting on our tram when a small tropical storm blew up. As you can see I got soaked all the way through. Once at the beach, the shorts became my swimsuit in the ocean and the pool. When we decided to head to Fisherman's Village for lunch it only took about 10 minutes for the shorts to dry to a damp stage, basically in the time it took everyone else to change out of bathing suits and into street clothes. Difference was they had to lug all that extra wet baggage around. By the time we got to lunch, another 10ish minutes, my shorts were basically dry and i didn't have extra baggage to carry :) .

    FAQs

    DWR stands for Durable Water Repellency. DWR is a coating applied to fabrics to make them water-resistant (hydrophobic). It causes water to bead up and roll off the surface of the material, rather than soaking into the fabric. We use PFAS free DWR in all our shorts.

    No issues! Our magnets create no problem through security and have been through hundreds of TSA security checks across many different countries!

    Nope! We have not experienced any issues and neither should you unless you go out of your way to try to mess something up!

    Yes, our shorts have 5 belt loops.

    If you have stubborn creases we recommend using a hand steamer to take the creases out quickly or you can use an iron on low heat over a towel.

    The hidden drawstring provides additional security those that need it. If you find you don't use it, its very easy to remove. Just pull it through and find a creative use for it. (James used one on his kayaking shoes after a shoelace broke just before hiking into North Chickamauga Creek.)

    HANG DRY ONLY - the magnet will stick to the dryer and could potential rip out. Luckily, they'll dry just as fast as a load in the dryer.
    Wash with any regular load.
    Steam if needed but do not iron.

    I love the material these shorts are made out of. They look nice because they don’t wrinkle. They repel water surprisingly well and they don’t stain easily and they dry quickly.

    The. Best. Travel. Shorts.

    I own tons of shorts...far too many some could say. These shorts are by far my favorite. The daily driver 9" shorts are very comfortable and well named as they work well daily. The fabric is stretchy but not too stretchy and resists spills, etc well. The best feature for me while traveling recently were double pockets with one being a secure zippered one that is both sizable and deep. Many brands tout these secure zipper pockets, but on most other brands these are tiny zipped pockets meant for a set of keys rather than a passport, wallet or cell that you might want to keep more secure while traveling.

    I would say that they run small...for me, the 32" waist across dozens of brands was just too snug. With TEREN, I just needed the 33/34 size and all was well.

    Love 'em!

    They were up front and honest that the 32" waist sizing is more like a 31”-32" than the full-size Daily Driver pants, and that proved accurate for me. They are indeed a bit more snug across the waist. Other than that, they’re exactly what I’ve come to know and expect from the Daily Drivers.
