What material is used that makes it campfire proof?
We worked with fabric manufacturers to develop a lightweight laminated Lenzing FR & Aramid blended fabric that is fire resistant and waterproof. Lenzing FR & Aramid blend, is a naturally fire resistant fiber that is used on everything from the Mars Rover to firefighting gear and now we're the first ones introducing it to the outdoor industry.

Campfire Puffy 2.0 Upgrades

After hearing feedback from customers we made these requested updates.

  1. The double zipper was fidgety so we upgraded the main zipper to a single Waterproof YKK Zipper.
  2. The fit felt a little small for every size so we corrected in the fit while keeping a crisp look. Now you can choose the same size you always wear.
  3. The stretch didn't stretch enough, so we added a ton of stretch. This jacket will feel 10 times more comfortable than the last version.
  4. Lastly, the hood and the cuffs were just frumpy so we put more structure in those elements to give a more dialed fit.

Fire-Resistant - Enjoy a bonfire with friends and be the only one not freaking out about those little stray sparks or fire embers ruining your nice puffy jacket.

Tear-Proof - No longer will briars, your dogs claws or random sharp edges tear your nice puffy. This jacket is practically indestructible.

Windproof - With a 2 layer exterior and our panel design (instead of a baffle design) your Campfire Puffy will both retain more heat to keep you warm and prevent the cold air from getting inside.

Waterproof - No one likes getting caught in the rain but when you can't prevent it the rain will simply bead up on the exterior keeping you as dry as your dad's humor.

Intended for camping, born for adventure!

My Puffy is my most cherished material asset. My brother and I ordered them through the original Kickstarter. The things these were claiming seemed too good to be true. I'm glad I went against my gut and contributed! Those long months of waiting were excruciating. Spending that amount of money on a jacket by some company that hadn't made it's mark yet. Thee months went by and the set date was postponed. 2021 right smack in the middle of pandemic quarantine, it arrived. I immediately started testing it. To see if this jacket was as nuke proof as it was advertised. I found out it was as advertised. This jacket is on my 3/4 of the year. I don't own a four wheeler vehicle. My only mode of transit is my 2016 Indian Scout. In the years before my terren during the winters I never was able to keep my core warm while in motion and having to stop every 20 minutes on the way to work and it's 60 miles one way....well it can be miserable if I would wear 3 different jacket to insulate. One of which was a heating vest!. Now I wear a thermal shirt alright zippered hoody the Terren campfire puffy. I was wearing a really expensive riding jacket that was stiff and bulky. Every day when I would be riding home my shoulders literally ached from the weight of of clothing hanging on them. I've never had a specialized motorcycle jacket that could even dream of performing! 20 degrees temp outside on my way to work I've found myself pulling the sleeves up my arm as best as possible cause I'm roasting alive. It's got open cuffs so the sweat would start to drip out of the sleeve except I'm moving at 70 mph down the interstate and the air temp is 20 so instead ice start building up and breaking off to hit me in the face. Alright I've have gushed enough on the pros! Now the cons. Mine must have had a slight complication when construction of the right cuff was finished. For some reason then 1/2 inch of cuff would roll it's self in such a fashion that the inside main stitch would be facing out so it was almost like the outside liner of the jacket was shorter than the inside liner. As you can guess it eventually busted that seam and the cuff started unraveling. Luckily my mother is a fair seamstress. I knew that regular thread wouldn't put up with much so I had her use some kevlar fishing line I had.it now no longer turns out and I doubt it will give out any time soon. Another problem I've found is sometimes if zipped up sometimes and I'm not able tell the cause but the bottom zipper will allow the two side become uneven. Now when you got unzip it won't release. Fault with the zipper or maybe the tracks. I don't know. So that's it for pros and cons. Brass Tacks: This jacket is my mobile tornado shelter. So 5 stars, two 👍 and a whole lotta smiles. PS side note. This jacket can be self packed and stored. Shhh! They talked about possibly being packable but that feature seems to have been benched or just overshadowed by it's many fabulous perks. Check out the picks and you'll get the idea of how to transform it into a pretty nice pillow.

A Game Changer

I know, I was skeptical as you when I first saw the price tag. Man, who would be in their right mind to purchase a hefty price for a jacket from a small name brand?

Believe or not, this jacket is phenomenal and I find myself frequently use it for everywhere. I even got compliments how it looks great on me. Now I can explore the nature without worrying that tree branches may damage my puffer jacket. Additionally, this jacket acts double as a raincoat.

The fire resistant is mind-blowing. Overall, this jacket is amazing made and way efficient than any puffer jackets I own.

Keep the great job!
