Are you high? Cause you have to be to spend $129 on pants for hiking. I grew up dairy farming...we wore Wrangler and Lee, and we never had a problem milking, planting, harvesting in them. But hey...I understand hiking can be very demanding.
I was skeptical about the magnetic fly button, but it turns out to work beautifully for me. The materials and workmanship are great, and the gusseted crotch will help this live a longer life. This is now my go-to pair of pants, which is tailored well enough to go with a sport coat and tough enough to go on a backpacking trip or a long, active vacation. The legs are tailored a little more snuggly than I’m used to, but that’s okay. I don’t normally spend this much for a pair of pants, but it is worth it. It does appear that you have to hand-wash and hang-dry these pants, due to the magnetic button. This is the only concern I have—especially the washing part—and is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Surely there’s a way to mask off the magnet during washing, so it doesn’t affix the garment to the washing machine drum, or to metal zippers etc. in other clothes?
